A man is not dead until he is forgotten. . . . NEVER FORGET!
May God forgive this nation for what we are allowing to be done
to our brave military
A G A I N
The events of September 11, 2001 have triggered my conscience. I've gone through life, day after day, without one thought as to how or why I have the freedom to protest; the freedom to walk through the streets without fear; the freedom to elect officials who are supposed to fight for MY interests in an open government.
Each event/conflict in our Nation's history should serve to remind us of the personal sacrifices our men and women in uniform have paid to conserve our right to these freedoms.
From the War of 1812 through to World War I and World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and now, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Millions have met their destiny with dignity and honor defending freedom -- defending us!
The pages within “The Unforgotten” are a special tribute to those brave men and women who unselfishly paid the ultimate price for us, and to honor the sacrifices made by their families and loved ones. We can only imagine the grief and torment they experience every day.
I also want to pay tribute to those who wear the uniform today, and the veterans who, by the Grace of God, are still with us today. Thank You!
One thought has been going through my mind as I write this page -- “You Get What You Pay For ”. . . If that's the case, we -- this country, Our Armed Forces, Police and Fire Departments and Volunteers and their Families -- have paid deerly. A priceless gift we cannot just accept and forget about.
We live in a very troubled world and tend to forget that no "democracy" in human history has ever lasted as long as the United States. If you've grown up with it as I have, you expect it; you demand it! However, it's easily forgotten just what price has been paid for our complacency.
When measured against all the recorded history of civiization, we should realize and be thankful that every day what we have is a miracle . . . a miracle that the members of our Armed Forces have lived and died to make possible. Through several wars, since the birth of this great nation, they are responsible for America's remaining the “Land of the Free” and the “Home of the Brave.”
We have been blessed by the courage and commitment of ordinary Americans, Military, Police and Fire Departments, who were willing to pay the ultimate price to help or save another. These men, women and children have fought undaunted for our safety and freedom. Every one of them, no matter what color, race or religion; no matter what battlefield . . . Every One helped to build this great nation we love - The United States of America.
Many lives have been changed forever. Is Freedom worth the price we've all paid? Should we allow terrorists and dictatorial regimes to brutally and maliciously torture and kill the innocent? Should it make a difference if these terrorist acts are not committed on our own soil? Should we only respond if it's our nextdoor neighbor or our own families who are being tortured or murdered? Should we wait that long? Should we bury our heads in the sand and ignore it? Do we have the right to "interfere"? Are we our brothers' keeper?
For me, these questions aren't difficult and can be answered in less than a heartbeat.
Throughout history, dictatorial type governments have never been satisfied with remaining within their own boundaries, torturing and murdering their own citizens and any who dared enter. Their goal is to be all powerful.
Adolph Hitler was one of the most terrifyingly brutal dictators of our time. He murdered hundreds of thousands of Jews while the world "slept". Saddam Hussein, following in Hitler's footsteps, has murdered thousands upon thousands of his OWN people, with U.N. sanctions. I can't even begin to imagine what the world would be like today if it weren't for the intervention of the "free world". Can you?
Think about it the next time you go shopping or to a concert or movie, or sit down to write a complaint to your Congressman. Would this be possible under men like Adolph Hitler and Saddam Hussein?
Many claim the war in Iraq is wrong; freeing the oppressed is wrong; deposing a murdererous thug is wrong. If you're paying attention, you'll realize these are the same people who opposed the war in Vietnam and destroyed the lives of thousands of our brave military men and women with their lies and innuendos. Men and women who came home to ridicule and torment -- even though they did everything that was asked of them, and more.
Those same people who opposed the war in Vietnam are now attempting to control this war; this country.
Those same people are doing everything in their power to see the U.S. defeated in Iraq -- to see the United States humiliated and tormented -- just like our military was during Vietnam.
Those same people are INVESTED in American defeat -- totally and literally.
We were within months, maybe weeks or days of complete victory in Vietnam. Ask yourself why we "lost" a war we were winning? Maybe it's because Congress did NOT want victory. Or, maybe it's because some could not allow success, for whatever reasons. Either way, for the first time in American history, we had implimented a new strategic maneuver -- cut and run.
The thousands of men and women who fought in that war did not fail. Not Even Close!
We failed them. That's right. You, me, everyone in this great nation who supposedly has a brain and a free will allowed ourselves to be manipulated, brainwashed and lead by the media, the congress and the "peace" movement. While I have breath, I will do everything I can to see this does NOT happen again!
So America, WAKE UP! What is it going to take to open your eyes to the lies and deceptions committed daily? Time is running out and you'd better get your act together soon or you'll lose everything. Turn off the DVD players and start doing your own research.
Don't take my word (or anyone else's word) for anything. Find out for yourself.
The Bible teaches us to be Good Neighbors. What is a Good Neighbor? Read Luke 10:25-37.
Also Matthew 10:34 is tough opposition to turning the other cheek. This is Jesus speaking:
“Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household!”
The debt we owe our brave soldiers can never be repaid. Their only mission is to protect and defend. We should remain forever thankful and mindful of the gruesome alternatives. Keep their memory alive. Don't let their efforts be cast aside like yesterday's dirty laundry. It's up to each and every one of us to fight for freedom by not succumbing to terrorism whenever and wherever it may rear its' ugly head -- even when it's disguised as a House or Senate Leader.
VICTORY: IT'S NOT A DIRTY WORD!
To any who would protest the war in Iraq, I say follow your own conscience - but in doing so I would also urge you, as American citizens, to be damned sure of your facts before you back decisions that WILL destroy this great nation!
More than just our lives are at risk this time. We risk losing our every day freedoms. Don't allow yourselves be tricked into thinking this is another Vietnam.
It's not even close.
Also, Pay Attention to the new laws that are being passed or are up for consideration. Every piece of legislature passed is a freedom lost. All under the guise of "what's best for the people."
Socialism (An "economic, social and political doctrine which expresses the struggle for the equal distribution of wealth by eliminating private property and the exploitative ruling class.") is simply one step away from Communism (Communism is an economic and political system based on the principle "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.). In other words, anything you own or earn must be given up to the state to be distributed as they see fit.
Make yourself a list of the things government controls and wants to control, then make a list of how those controls will impact your freedom.
Pay Attention. That's all I ask. Make informed decisions based on truth and fact, not hearsay (half-truths) and propaganda being pounded by the news media (or me, for that matter!). Listen to live conferences and interviews whenever possible. Follow the money trail and the agenda. George Soros, multi-multi-billionaire, and MoveOn.org now Control the Democrat Party and they have only one agenda -- the destruction of the greatest nation on earth - The United States of America. Soros has brought down nations before, and he's trying to do it again.
And please, leave all the callous hatred and vicious vindictives in the past. This is a NEW war with an OLD enemy. A battle that's been ignored by previous administrations for far too long. Unfortunately, what we face now is pure evil - all-consuming hatred - that has festered, without restraint, and has surfaced with a maliciousness I've never seen before.
Hatred is what is being promoted, condoned and professed in our own Senate and Congress. Not much difference between them and the enemy we're fighting overseas, is there? The hatred displayed by both parties, mainly the democrats, is palpable.
So I suggest, follow the money trail and the agenda.
Don't delude yourself into believing that by defunding the war you're still supporting the troops. Balderdash! The only thing defunding accomplishes is the "slow-bleed" murder of our troops.
I respect dissension - it's our right; I can even respect immediate withdrawal -- get our troops home. But I can not and WILL NOT agree to leaving our troops on the battlefield without the necessary equipment for survival!
I have absolutely no respect for any Senator or Congressperson who votes against funding for our troops while they're in battle. It doesn't matter if they voted against the war, that's irrelevant. We're at war. You lost the vote, so get over it! Give our troops what they need and continue to argue your position. Using our troops to make a political statement for your own political status is bull**it! In my opinion, these representatives of the public should be removed from office, at the very least, and charged with treason.
"Slow-bleed" is cowardly and purely political, with self-interest the objective. These are people who are solely invested in the defeat of the United States. They were invested in it in Vietnam, and they're invested in it now. If you think your Congress and Senate are being run by Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed, maybe it's time to think again! Follow the money trail.
Please don't allow yourself to be manipulated into believing lies again. Do your own research. Read speeches in their entirety; listen to the whole news conference, rather than just snippets doled out by the media. Then make your own, informed, decisions.
Please, Pay Attention.
Also, today, there are thousands and thousands of young men and women, with missing arms and legs, alone in hospital rooms throughout this country. Young people who would have died for us but by the Grace of God still live! Please, if you have a couple of hours a week, to visit these precious people or simply send them an email or mail a card -- it could mean the difference between life and death.
They had a job to do and did it well, without hesitation. They never let us down; it's time we realized that we can't let them down either. Just a note saying "Thank you! We needed you and you were there. Well done! God bless you always. Get well soon -- America still needs you." Can you imagine how uplifting a message like that would be for the soul, especially when you lay alone, day after day? Not one of these precious people should ever feel alone! Let's do our part in the war on terror. It may not be free (the cost of a postage stamp or a few minutes online to send emails), but it's the most rewarding job we'll ever do! God bless you, God bless our military and God bless our President! Now let's get to "work"! Our soldiers need us!
