We must always remember. . . Freedom Is NOT Free

A Mother's Tears

Mother

This is for parents everywhere;
Sisters, brothers and wives;
Our Military are very special people
We owe them all OUR lives.

I have four children of my own
Who are healthy, strong and free.
And of those four, I have one son
Whom God has entrusted to me.

My son is witty, handsome and brave;
Loving all who bless his way.
Will he be one to defend Freedom's call?
Will he have to fight one day?

Mother

My prayer of course is for peace world-wide.
For oppression to miraculously end.
But when men like Bin Laden and Hussein exist,
Our children will be called to defend.

These beautiful people know right from wrong.
They understand there's a price to be free
And that precious lives will be torn and lost.

Could you please explain it to me?

I understand the necessity for war; I understand the right and need to be free;
What I don't understand is the hate, greed and selfishness that drives a madman to torture,
murder and mutilate innocent men, women and children.
I support our Military and their mission whole-heartedly.
I support President Bush - someone had to finally take a stand.
The battle was brought to our door, again.

May God bless our President and our military; protect and guide them through to Victory.
